Sign PDF
Create a signature by drawing it, typing your name, or uploading an image — then drag and resize it onto the page. Nothing is uploaded — everything happens in your browser.
What kind of signing this is
This adds a visual signature — an image of your signature placed on the page — which is what most people mean by "sign a PDF" for everyday paperwork. It doesn't add a cryptographic digital certificate, so it isn't a substitute for legally-binding e-signature software on contracts that require one. Use the page selector to pick the right page, then drag the box to move your signature or drag its corners to resize it. Draw mode works with a mouse or a finger on touchscreens.
How to use Sign PDF

- Create your signature: draw it with a mouse or finger, type your name in Cursive, Elegant or Print style, or upload a PNG or JPG of your signature.
- Go to the right page, then drag the signature box into place and drag its corners to resize it.
- Click Download signed PDF.
Good to know before you start
- This is a visual signature, an image placed on the page. It doesn't add a cryptographic digital certificate, so use dedicated e-signature software where a certified signature is legally required.
- Typed styles use fonts already on your device, so the exact look can vary slightly between computers and phones.
- For a clean uploaded signature, sign on white paper and use a PNG with a transparent background.
Sign PDF: frequently asked questions
Is a signature added this way legally valid?
For many everyday documents a visual signature is accepted, but rules vary by country and document type. For contracts that require a certified e-signature, use a provider that issues digital certificates.
Can I sign on my phone?
Yes. Draw mode works with your finger on a touchscreen, and you can place and resize the signature by dragging.
Is my signature saved anywhere?
No. It exists only in your browser while you use the page and in the PDF you download. Nothing is stored on a server.
Can I add today's date next to my signature?
If the PDF has a date field, fill it with Fill PDF Forms first. Otherwise use Type mode with the date as text and place it where it's needed.
