About NovaPDFTool

NovaPDFTool is a set of PDF utilities that run entirely in your browser. Merge, split, compress, and convert files without uploading them to a server.

Most online PDF tools work by uploading your file, processing it remotely, and sending back the result. NovaPDFTool skips that step. Your browser reads the file, does the work, and hands you the output — the file never leaves your device.

Who runs NovaPDFTool

NovaPDFTool is built and maintained by Thiru, an independent developer in Tamil Nadu, India. It started from a simple everyday problem: government portals, college applications and job sites keep asking for a PDF under 100KB or 200KB, and the usual way to get there is to upload ID cards, certificates and bank statements to a website you know nothing about. The site launched in September 2026 so that job could be done without the document ever leaving your phone or computer.

How the tools work

Each tool is a small program that runs inside your browser tab. PDF files are read and written with the open-source pdf-lib library, pages are drawn for previews with Mozilla's PDF.js, and OCR uses Tesseract.js. When you click a tool's button, your own device does the work and the result is saved straight to your downloads.

The only thing the OCR tool downloads is a language model the first time you use it. Your PDF itself is never part of any network request, and you can check this yourself in your browser's developer tools (Network tab) while a tool runs.

What we don't do

  • We don't upload, store, or look at your files.
  • We don't ask you to create an account or give an email address to use a tool.
  • We don't add watermarks to your results or limit how many files you can process.
  • We don't promise results the tools can't deliver. If a compression target is too small to keep text readable, the tool says so instead of handing back an unreadable file.

How the site is funded

The tools are free to use. Google ads support the site; ad placements are limited so they don't interfere with using the tools. More detail on ads, cookies and analytics is in our Privacy Policy.

Who it's for

Built for anyone who needs a quick PDF task done — students, freelancers, and anyone who'd rather not upload a personal or sensitive document to a third-party server. If you're not sure which tool fits your task, the guides walk through the common ones step by step.
