Organizing a PDF

Drag any page to move it to a new position, or use the up/down arrows on a page for finer control. Each page also has its own rotate and remove buttons, so you can fix a sideways page or drop one you don't need without affecting the rest. Changes only apply once you save — nothing is altered until then, so it's safe to try a few orders before deciding. At least one page has to stay in the file.

How to use Organize PDF

  1. Drop the PDF you want to rearrange.
  2. Drag pages into the order you want, or use each page's up and down arrows on a phone.
  3. Use a page's rotate button to fix it if it's sideways, or its remove button to drop it.
  4. Click Save PDF. Nothing changes until you save, so you can try different orders first.

Good to know before you start

  • Organize works on one PDF at a time. To combine pages from several files, use Merge PDF, which has the same page controls.
  • At least one page must stay in the file.
  • Password-protected PDFs need their password removed first.

Organize PDF: frequently asked questions

Can I rotate just one page?

Yes. Each page has its own rotate button, so one sideways page can be fixed without turning the others.

How is this different from Merge PDF?

The page controls are the same. Organize is for tidying a single document; Merge is for joining pages from several files.

Does reordering affect quality?

No. Pages are moved, not re-encoded, so text stays sharp and searchable.

Can I undo a change before saving?

Move or rotate the page back, or drop the original file again to start over. Your original file is never modified.
